Aquion reduced SharePoint document management costs by 40%

AKVION – a pharmaceutical company operating since 2002, known for its products: ALPHABET, Kudesan, Vetoron, Focus, Dyshi, and Reproduction, as well as the sports nutrition brands VITIME and dietary products Dietelle.
For a long time, the company had been using an internal document management system deployed on its own servers based on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007, which was significantly outdated and no longer met its business needs. The company planned to implement a new business process automation system, which required upgrading to the new version – SharePoint 2016. This entailed significant expenses for server hardware, Microsoft licenses for SharePoint Server and SQL Server, and implementation work. According to preliminary estimates, the project cost was approximately 3 million rubles, not including further costs for service maintenance.
To minimize capital expenditures, Akvion decided to explore cloud services. After analyzing available offerings, they selected Cloud SharePoint, a SaaS service from the Russian cloud provider LanCloud. LanCloud provided a free one-month trial period, during which the company was able to verify that Cloud SharePoint fully met all business needs. Akvion also considered SharePoint Online in the Microsoft cloud, but a number of customization limitations forced them to abandon this option.
Cloud SharePoint is a ready-made cloud-based SaaS service for a corporate portal for storing and collaborating on documents based on Microsoft SharePoint Server, deployed in the LanCloud cloud in a Russian data center in accordance with Federal Law No. 242 regarding personal data. The service is completely ready to use and requires no additional licenses, deployment, or maintenance. Cloud SharePoint allows you to collaborate on documents in a browser and Microsoft Office applications on your computer or smartphone from anywhere with internet access. You can also sync documents using OneDrive for Business, allowing you to work even when there's no network connection.
